“VIPO Film Lab” is a place to train industry professionals such as producers, directors, and screenwriters who have a global perspective and can play an active role in Japan and overseas. VIPO is offering various training courses for each purpose such as practical training, workshops, online courses, etc.

[1] Script Development Course @ Udine

The scriptwriting session in Udine is for bringing your existing scripts up to an international standard. It is an intensive one-on-one session with an experienced lecturer who has an active profile in Europe.

[2] International Producer’s Course

In this course, you will learn about the functions of film festivals and markets around the world, the roles of sales agents and project markets, and take practical lectures from the person in charge of the actual markets and script development sessions in order to become an active producers internationally. The course is designed to provide the comprehensive knowledge that is necessary for international co-production and overseas development of films. With experienced industry experts and active players from Japan and abroad as lecturers, the course aims to provide producers with basic knowledge and techniques that can be immediately applied in practice.
